Happy Monday readers! Lots of great new things to read on the World Wide Web this week. Here are some of my faves.
A nifty little design detail in this piece from Jason Fried - When design drives behavior.
Nice writeup about the Affinity rebrand. I’ve been using affinity designer for a while now, so can’t wait to try the new product out.
AI lowers barriers to creation, yet it also magnifies the gap between okay results and exceptional ones. - A fascinating read from Nielsen Norman on their heuristic evaluations of AI prototyping tools.
AI will generate text faster than you can, but it cannot deliver empathy, define your brand’s ethics, or apply the strategic filter needed to build user trust. That level of intention remains your non-negotiable human power - The writing is the design.
Enjoyed this piece from the New York Times about 48 Hours Without A.I.
And finally - an interesting piece about icon design: How the new Sora app icon gives away more than meets the eye.
Go get ‘em,Ben
